On 6th and 7th June, Vpress attended Prokom’s second annual conference in the charming city of Budapest. It has been unanimously agreed to have been a huge success, firstly due to being oversubscribed and secondly, the fantastic feedback given from all who attended.
Andy Barber, Managing Director UK Mail Ltd, chair of the advisory board guiding Prokom, added: “There are some great agenda topics that have been chosen because they address key issues our members are facing today. We hope the expert knowledge sharing and relaxed networking opportunity, supported by our new website, will enable members to learn new ways to drive their productivity and profitability.”
Kevin Gaskell’s keynote speech about the path to extraordinary performance set the tone for the event. Following his talk, certainly the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as delegates explored topics such as ‘how to take advantage in today’s changing world of print’.
Vpress were situated in the partner zone, ready to talk to attendees about their burning questions on Web2Print, and it seems as though there were a lot of questions! Vpress gave non-stop presentations in French, Israeli, Czech, Hungarian as well as English, addressing on the spot online ordering and workflow questions from a wide range of Konica Minolta customers.
Leading the way with mobile ordering, Vpress were excited to demonstrate orders making their way into any workflow, or even direct to press for those who do not have a MIS or workflow system.
With over 250 printers from all over Europe, and some from even further afield, the keynote speakers and breakout sessions provided a great platform for learning, collaboration and networking. It seems as though printers know no geographical barriers when it comes to the burning questions we all have about driving innovation for the future.
