Training and Support Manager, Steve Faulkner, a keen golfer and motivation for taking part said ‘PIGS is a great opportunity for networking. It brings together new and old friends alike. We had a fantastic day out in the sun, catching up and of course a bit of friendly banter!’
While it was a glorious, sunny day, the course itself proved challenging. Luring golfers into a false sense of security with the subtle slopes of the Kent countryside, hole 14 (ominously named ‘The Brewery’) did cause some concern that some golfers would never escape!
The day ended with all attendees back safely to enjoy a meal and prize giving – with Vpress taking a podium position in third.
The Printing Industry Golf Society is now run by Earth Island Publishing who organise a number of events over the year, encouraging people to come together and create new bonds in a relaxed and informal environment. The next event is at Studley Wood in Oxfordshire on 20th September.
